Don't be a Target for "Trigger Lead" Buyers!
Did you know that credit reporting agencies have the right to sell your personal information to mortgage company telemarketers?
When you apply for a mortgage, we pull a credit report to analyze your credit history. That's a normal part of the loan approval process.
But unfortunately, the minute your credit report is pulled, it sets
off a "trigger" and your name and personal credit information is
automatically added to a list of leads that the credit reporting
agencies then sell to other mortgage companies.
The companies buy the "trigger leads" because they know that you are
now in the market for a mortgage.
You may be deluged with dozens of calls from telemarketers offering
all kinds of "too good to be true" rates in an effort to get you to
switch to their mortgage company.
To see what can happen to you once your name is added to the Trigger Leads list, turn up your speakers and watch the two TV news reports below. The second video features Best Mortgage's Steve Tytler on Seattle CBS News affiliate KIRO-TV!

At Best Mortgage, we think the practice of selling "trigger leads" is an unconscionable abuse of our clients' personal privacy!
Unfortunately, we don't have the power to stop the trigger lead sales, but we want to be sure that you know how to protect yourself from an unwanted barrage of telephone mortgage sales pitches.
To STOP the trigger lead mortgage sales predators, click here to go to OptOutPreScreen.com where you can opt-out of the "trigger lead" lists.
You can also opt-out of the credit reporting agencies' trigger lead lists by telephone. Call this toll-free number: 1–888-567-8688 and tell them to take you off their lists now!
Remember, never talk to ANYBODY who claims to be following up on your mortgage loan application unless they are a Best Mortgage team member to whom you have already been introduced!
